The wait is over for fans of Hoka’s most versatile speedster. As of March 1, 2026, the Hoka Mach 7 has officially hit the shelves in Singapore. The global running community has been buzzing about high-stack plated racers, the Mach series continues to hold its ground as the premier choice for runners who want a natural yet energetic ride without the mechanical stiffness of a plate.
Availability is currently concentrated with two key specialty retailers: Running Lab and Red Dot Running Company (RDRC). Mach 7 comes in at a retail price of S$229, maintaining its position as a high-value performance trainer in a market where prices are rapidly climbing toward the S$300 mark.
Hoka Mach 7: Specifications at a Glance
To understand the Mach 7, it helps to look at the numbers. While it remains a lightweight daily trainer, the small tweaks in weight and stack provide a more protective feel than its predecessor.
- Weight: ~237g (US Men’s 9) / ~203g (US Women’s 7)
- Stack Height: 37mm (Heel) / 32mm (Forefoot)
- Drop: 5mm
- Midsole: Supercritical EVA (Nitrogen-infused)
- Upper: Creel Jacquard Mesh with Internal Gusset
- Outsole: Strategic Sticky Rubber (Forefoot) and Durabrasion Rubber (Heel)
What’s New: Refining the Blueprint
The transition from the Mach 6 to the Mach 7 is a year of refinement. Hoka has kept the soul of the shoe intact but addressed the two biggest complaints from the previous model: grip and durability.
The Sticky Outsole: The most significant update is the introduction of a new sticky rubber compound in the forefoot. It provides noticeably better traction on wet pavement and tiled surface. This is a massive plus for us navigating the roads after a tropical downpour.

The Creel Jacquard Upper: The upper has been overhauled with a new knit pattern designed to enhance lockdown while staying breezy. In the Singapore’s humidity, the increased breathability is more than welcome.
Internal Lockdown: The refined, speed-centric tongue lays flatter against the foot, and the internal gusset provides a more secure, “locked-in” feel when you decide to pick up the pace.
The Verdict: How It Competes in Singapore
We believe that the Mach 7 can be used as your one shoe rotation for good reasons. It is light enough for interval work at the track but protective enough for a 21km Sunday long run.
However, the competition in this non-plated speed category is fierce. In our view, one direct alternative available in Singapore right now is the ASICS Noosa Tri 16, priced at S$209, it is cheaper than Mach 7. The Noosa Tri offers a more aggressive rocker and a firmer ride than the Mach 7. Other options to consider includes the Adizero EVO SL and also the New Balance Rebel v5.
If you loved the Mach 6 but wished for an upgraded grip and a slightly more secure upper, the Mach 7 is the logical next step. Else, your Mach 6 is going to be great value.
Till next time, just keep running.
