Running in Singapore is getting expensive. Between rising race fees and the hype of carbon-plated super shoes, it is easy to feel like you need a second mortgage just to get to the start line at the F1 Pit Building.
At DailyRunningCo, we believe performance should not break the bank. Here is the definitive breakdown of what it actually costs to run the 2XU Compression Run 2026, along with the best gear deals in Singapore right now.
The Entry Fees & The Clock is Ticking
You have exactly one week left to save. Loyalty and Early Bird rates expire on 31 January 2026. Early bird prices will very soon be up, don’t wait if that is the race you have in your 2026 plan.

| 21.1KM | S$95 | S$105 | S$115 |
| 10KM | S$80 | S$90 | S$100 |
| 5KM | S$70 | S$80 | S$90 |
The Shoe Strategy, Train and Race in One Pair
There is no doubt benefits from having a multiple running shoes rotation to help you in your training. Yet, you only need one reliable pair that survives 10 weeks of training and still has energy on April 5th. This applies even if you are going for the half marathon.
Here we will share with you best deals we can find that meets your need in doing the 2XU Run 2026. We will cover 3 brands and then throw in an extra bonus just for you.
Nike
Nike remains a key favorite among many runners today. The product offering from Nike allows us to have a good gear for our race day. For the 5K/10K distance, our recommendation will be the Rival Fly 4, currently at around S$150, going as low as S$90. This is a snappy and lightweight speed weapon. You can find out more through our review here. Do remember to use Shopback on Nike.com for extra cashback!
For the 21K distance, we recommend for the Pegasus 41. You can find the EasyOn version at S$153 on Nike Singapore or around S$143 at iRUN Singapore. This is the ultimate versatile workhorse for long distances. For some runners, they are going to be chasing their PB (Personal Best). In this case, we have a great deal for you. The Vaporfly 4, in one colour way, is going at S$191, a rare sub-S$200 deal for a world-class racer.

Adidas
Adidas Singapore no doubt has a lot of good deals from time to time, alongside the Shopback offer. However, right now, if you are looking for an unbelieveable bang for your buck, you should be heading to iRUN Singapore. They are clearing the Boston 12 for as low as S$99. This is arguably the best super-trainer value in the country. If you are looking for something more modern and versatile, then we can consider the SL 2 currently priced at about S$143 to S$150 on Adidas Singapore.
For the half marathon, we think that the Adistar 4 is an excellent choice for maximum cushioning and an aggresive rocker to help you maintain momentum. However, for those looking to crush out their PB and wanting a higher performance choice, snag up the Takumi Sen 11 at S$209 at iRUN Singapore. You can also find the older Takumi Sen 10 at just S$159.
ASICS
ASICS who have gained a huge momentum duiring to their BLAST series of running shoes has to be on our list. For the 5K and 10K, the Noosa Tri 16 is a brilliant choice, retailing between S$146 and S$167. It is designed for quick transitions and high breathability, ensuring your feet stay cool during the sprint.
For the Half Marathon, the Magic Speed 4 is the clear winner for budget-conscious hunters. Often priced between S$169 and S$199 at iRUN and the official ASICS site, it provides a full carbon plate and bouncy foam. This gives you the propulsive feel of a super shoe at a mid-tier price point, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to gain a mechanical advantage on race day.
Bonus
Beyond the mainstream brands, there are several specialized picks that offer incredible bang for your buck. The Mizuno Wave Rebellion Flash 2 is a unique wildcard, while it retails at S$229, Key Power Sports have them for as low as S$119 now. Mizuno Singapore also has them on offer now at S$137 before an extra 20% off! Its aggressive heel geometry and fiberglass plate make it an efficient choice for the 21.1KM distance.

For those focused on speed in shorter races, the Kiprun Kipstorm Tempo at Decathlon for S$149.90 uses high-end foam to rival the energy return of much more expensive shoes. It is a totally new product coming from the Kiprun brand who seems to have finally caught up with the market.

Finally, for runners who prioritize durability above all else, the Xtep 2000KM 5.0 remains the king of longevity. At approximately S$105, its outsole is built to survive over 2,000km of Singaporean pavement, making it a highly sustainable investment for your 2026 season. It is not here yet in Singapore retalier Key Power Sports, but you can find them on XTEP Lazada Store.

The Hidden Costs, Gels and Transportation
Do not forget to budget for nutrition and logistics. For the Half Marathon, you will need at least two gels. A budget-friendly choice like KODA or AMINO Vital costs about S$3.50 each. Huma is another brand which I think is pretty good. Their gel range from S$3.90 to S$4.50. For those loving the thicker gel, GU will be for you which you can find at the Running Lab.
Transport is another factor; with a 4:15 AM start for the 21.1K, MRTs will not be running. A shuttle bus will cost between S$7 and S$10, whereas a private hire ride could set you back S$25 to S$40 depending on your location.
Total Cost of Doing a Race
Based on Early Bird registration, one pair of shoes, basic nutrition, and a shuttle bus.
| Profile | 5KM Total | 10KM Total | 21.1KM Total |
| The Value King (Xtep/iRUN Sale) | S$186 | S$196 | S$223 |
| The Brand Fan (Nike/ASICS) | S$235 | S$245 | S$275 |
| The PB Hunter (Carbon Plated) | N/A | S$300+ | S$290 – S$340 |
Ultimately, you can fully equip yourself and register for the 21.1KM Half Marathon for under S$230 total if you shop smart at iRUN or Key Power Sports this weekend. Register by 31 Jan, secure your gear, and we will see you at the Pit Building.
