Our Takeaways & Opinion
The refresh for the Gel-Pulse 15 is a welcomed move for ASICS as it continues to develop its product even at more competitive price range. More than just an update to a product feature or upper, the Gel-Pulse 15 represents a big step to maintain relevancy in the market. While its price is now 10 SGD or about 7% higher, it can still be a great choice over its predecessor.
Additionally, the update also further differentiate the Gel-Pulse 15 within its product portfolio. For example, comparison to Dynablast 4, Hyperspeed 3, or the Gel-Excite 10 shown clearer distinctions than before.
Overall, DRC views the update to be positive and will love to take a closer look at how it performs. An interesting observation is how the lower range is now getting some attention for refresh. Aside from ASICS, Adidas recent update to the Duramo Speed or the Supernova Stride are other examples.
What do you think, would you be open to discovering how these value range performs? Till next time, just keep running.
